Palletising and depalletising of infusions pouches – three product lines, twelve robots

One million infusion pouches daily are leaving ‘Europe’s’ most advanced production facility for infusion solutions. ETT Verpackungstechnik realised the palletisation and depalletisation before and after the sterilisation process – and managed the project with three production lines and altogether twelve robots.

When the Ecoflacplus-infusions pouches are produced and they are reach the ETT carrier system. The pouches get pre-collated, loaded gently in sterilisation tanks by a 4-axis-robot and afterwards stacked one upon the other by another robot. The tank stack then arrives at the sterilisation unit fully automatically. After the sterilisation has occurred the process is reversed: The tanks get de-stacked and emptied .This is achieved by special gripping heads with 119 gripper fingers that put the bottles in one move into provided carriers. It is proceeding directly: to the final packing– and further to the customer.
